According to the FES study entitled “Greece: Who (Does Not) Have a Seat in Parliament?”, young people, women, and individuals from lower socio-economic backgrounds are underrepresented. What are the demographic characteristics of the elected representatives of the Greek people? What is their social background and professional occupation? What role do young people and women play in today’s Parliament? And how does this situation compare to other European parliaments? These and other questions will be discussed, along with potential policy proposals emerging from the study.
