Tο Ίδρυμα Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung άνοιξε το Μάιο του 2012 και πάλι παράρτημα στην Αθήνα.
Μέσα από τις δράσεις μας θέλουμε να εμβαθύνουμε και να ενισχύσουμε περαιτέρω τις παραδοσιακά καλές και στενές ελληνογερμανικές σχέσεις. Άλλωστε, η συνεργασία των δύο χωρών σε κλίμα εμπιστοσύνης είναι απαραίτητη για την αντιμετώπιση των μεγάλων κοινωνικών, πολιτικών και οικονομικών προκλήσεων ενώπιον των οποίων βρίσκεται η Ευρώπη. Παράλληλα, η συνεργασία με τις χώρες των Βαλκανίων και της ανατολικής Μεσογείου αποκτά ολοένα και μεγαλύτερη σημασία για τις δράσεις μας.
Σε όλα μας τα έργα και προγράμματα συνεργαζόμαστε στενά με τους Έλληνες εταίρους μας από το χώρο της πολιτικής, της κοινωνίας των πολιτών, των συνδικάτων, της επιστήμης και των μέσων ενημέρωσης. Διοργανώνουμε από κοινού συνέδρια, workshops και δημόσιες συζητήσεις, ενώ επιπλέον δημοσιεύουμε μελέτες και αναλύσεις που πραγματοποιούνται για λογαριασμό του Ιδρύματος.
